Privacy notice

Effective September 30, 2026. This notice describes SpendGuard version 1.0.0, including its receipt organizer and spending-planning features.

Who provides the app

SpendGuard is provided by Darwich Technologies LLC. This notice supplements our general privacy policy. Contact support@darwichglobal.com with app or privacy questions.

Your records stay on your device

SpendGuard stores purchases you enter, receipt text and item categories, optional receipt images, notes, budgets, savings goals, category rules and alert history on your iPhone. Receipt recognition and spending calculations run on the device. No SpendGuard account or bank connection is required.

The app does not send receipt contents or purchase records to Darwich Technologies LLC. It contains no advertising, analytics SDK or tracking integration. We do not receive your local records through ordinary use of the app.

Permissions and choices

Camera access is used when you choose to scan a receipt. The system Photos and Files pickers give the app access to content you select. Notifications are optional and local. An alert may include the name you gave a budget, but not receipt items or monetary amounts.

You can disable image retention for future scans. Images already saved remain until their purchase or the selected profile's data is deleted. Personal and fictional demo profiles are separate. Category rules are remembered only when you explicitly choose to remember them and save the receipt; they can be forgotten in Settings.

Sharing and exports

When you export records or share a receipt image, you select the destination through iOS. The receiving app or service controls that copy under its own practices. SpendGuard cannot remove exported copies or the original images in your Photos or Files library.

Opening our website, privacy policy or terms uses an external web service governed by the website's privacy notice. If you email support, we receive the information you include. Please avoid sending unneeded financial information or complete receipt images.

Storage, backups and deletion

The app uses the iOS sandbox and protected local storage. Device security and backup behavior depend on your settings. iOS backups may include app data. SpendGuard does not provide its own cloud synchronization or an in-app JSON restore feature.

Use Delete My Data in Settings to remove the selected local profile's records, category rules and receipt images. Deleting personal data does not delete the separate demo profile, and deleting demo data does not delete personal data. Manage device backups and exported copies through their respective services.

Changes and support

We will update this notice if SpendGuard's data practices change. Features that transmit financial records to a new service are not part of the current version. The effective date identifies this notice. Our terms of use and support directory are also available.
